Occupational Therapy Assistant Technology
Full-time, 180-day contract position with direct responsibility
to teach core Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) courses and/or OTA courses
that are open to pre-OTA students. Salary range: Minimum: $34,355, Midpoint:
$42,943
Must maintain regular office hours, provide student advising
in OTA and pre-OTA students; participate in curricular assessment and development;
participate in program development; assist in program assessment and assist
in accreditation projects. Prepare and deliver high-quality day, evening,
weekend, satellite and/or online courses. Traditional and online course
development and facilitation; academic advising; research and development
of potential certificate and program offerings; participation in student
learning outcome assessment; and other duties as assigned by the department.
Involvement in the area of professional development and scholarship, professional
involvement, and services to the college and community is expected. Must
assist with the recruitment of potential OTA students.
Requires completion of bachelor’s degree in health
related field by July 2012.
Requires a minimum of five years of clinical experience.
Teaching experience and a clinical background in mental
health or developmental disabilities is preferred.
Must be an Occupational Therapist or Occupational Therapy
Assistant licensed in the state of Ohio.

Therapist who is interested in working in both inpatient and outpatient
services.

REQUIREMENTS
Qualified
candidates will possess a license in good standing and previous experience.
Must possess advanced clinical, assessment, communications, and teamwork
skills. Candidates who have pediatric experience and Lymphedema experience
would be a plus, but we will provide training to qualified candidates.
