Cleveland District hosted its first Annual OOTA Workshop on March 15th. Six CEUs were offered via the following presentations: Robin Chilton, OTR/L, MBA, Cultural Diversity in the OT Clinic; Monica Robinson, MS, OTR/L, Unraveling the Mysteries of Reimbursement--A Reimbursement Primer; Mary Arnold, MA, OTR/L, Ethics, Decoding the Code. We had 54 attendees. Seventeen OTA students from Cuyahoga Community College were also present to hear the introduction and updates on State and District activities from Marc Schaffer and Georgette Ireland. Six OTAs and eight OTs signed up as new members or renewed memberships. The Cleveland District gratefully thanks our wonderful speakers for sharing their knowledge with us all.

Our Annual Awards Presentation/Dinner is set for June 4th. Cleveland District members will receive information regarding categories of awards and criteria for nominating individuals to be recognized at this event. Look for this information scheduled to be mailed March 31st. Put on your "thinking caps". The Cleveland District has many people worthy of recognition for their contributions to the Occupational Therapy profession. This is the time to honor these individuals. Information will also be sent regarding the scholarships the Cleveland District awards each year. More information on the June 4th presentation to come.

The next Cleveland District Board meeting is scheduled for May 6th at St. Vincent's Charity Hospital at 6 p.m. Board members will vote at that time on the nominations received.
