The Columbus District goes "Wild" for OT Month!

April is OT month and this year to celebrate, the Columbus District of OOTA is forming a team for Walk MS 2010 at the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium. The walk takes place on April 17th with registration beginning at 7:30 am. Participants will be able to stay and enjoy the zoo after completing the walk.

Walk MS supports the Ohio Buckeye Chapter of the National MS Society. The money raised goes to help those living with MS as well as their families and caregivers. Below is an example of what our fund-raising can provide:

$25 will provide a reacher for someone with MS.
$60 will provide a shower chair with a back for one individual with MS.
$150 will provide a cooling vest kit for someone with MS.
$240 will provide a day of respite care for a family affected by MS.
$500 will provide a manual wheelchair for one individual with MS.
$750 will provide a portable ramp for one individual with MS.

If each of us could raise $25 dollars - think what a difference we could make in the lives of those affected by MS.

Please join our team by visiting http://walkoha.nationalmssociety.org

Choose the Columbus walk, join an existing team, and our team name is Columbus OOTA. Details about team shirts and team meeting point will be provided as the walk approaches. What better way for us to celebrate OT Month than to rally together and support a cause that so beautifully represents just what our profession is about! See you at the Zoo!
