Southeast District Strategic Plan for 2010-2011

1. Each district will develop and disseminate their own membership enhancement action plan.
Action: Have a calendar year of continuing education due each September to send out as one big mailing (this will require the help of all members for getting speakers and using our state MSG’s to help Jan Winland put this all together)

2. Think of a leadership development plan for your board at the district level.
Action: Have district MSG’s email reports to chair if not available for meeting night information from the state and national level in their area, have everyone helping Carrie Neil fill the Continuing Education calendar, take at least one member a year to a board meeting for exposure to what is done at that level, mentor other members to be more active and take leading roles in our profession at a volunteer level.

3. Each district will develop a PR action plan.
Action: Write articles on what we are doing in the district at our facilities to promote OT

4. Each district will develop an action plan to partner with the schools in their district.
Action: Chair or others active members take a day to visit the OTA Program at Zane State for education on OOTA and participation in class, educate on lobby day and assist in mentoring them on that day, have students present their EBP article or projects, conduct mock interviews or resume critiques; meet with SOTA with education presentation.
