Letter from the Editors – Issue 2
Welcome to the 2nd Issue of the OOTA Newsletter! We could not be more thrilled with the level of engagement the first issue had. We had an open rate of 53% to over 13,600 practitioners across the state. That’s a higher open rate compared to other industries, including nonprofit membership organizations like OOTA.
A heartfelt thank you to each of you who opened the email, clicked, read, and engaged with what the team of writers put together. We created this newsletter to strengthen the community of occupational therapist practitioners around the state while sharing organizational updates, inspiring innovation, and sparking curiosity.
We are committed to keeping this momentum with another exciting issue packed with legislative updates, innovative program development, opportunities for connection, and much more! This issue includes content written by contributing authors–both members and non-members. We’d like to thank these brilliant clinicians for sharing their knowledge, and we encourage you to do the same! We’d love to know what you think—your feedback and insights will help shape future editions of the newsletter.

Thank you for this suggestion, Jacquelyn! We agree that providing multiple ways for people to access and engage with this content is a good idea. We will have to consider the best way to do this without exhausting our volunteer capacity, as producing a physical/printable newsletter is a bit different than providing access to these articles online (the formatting alone could take several hours!). That said, we will definitely make a point to discuss this at the next newsletter committee meeting, and see what solutions we might be able to come up with. Thank you again for this suggestion!

I would suggest allowing the newsletter to be downloaded in addition to reading each section on-line. That way one can choose how to read the newsletter for someone like me. I sometimes get lost in the clicks that it takes to read each section. I prefer to see the entire document as a whole.
