Course Description

As healthcare delivery and community needs continue to evolve, occupational therapy practitioners are uniquely positioned to develop innovative, client-centered approaches that improve access, participation, and outcomes. This presentation will explore practical strategies for adapting clinical practice to address emerging population needs, strengthen community partnerships, and expand occupational therapy services across diverse settings. Attendees will gain actionable ideas to enhance responsiveness, sustainability, and impact within their own practice environments.

Speakers

Colton Sayers is a clinical occupational therapist and Education Coordinator at UC Health in Cincinnati, Ohio, specializing in outpatient neurological rehabilitation. He is the founder and co-director of the nation’s first Occupational Therapy LGBTQIA2S+ Health Fellowship, where he works to advance equitable, evidence-based care through clinical innovation, education, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Colton is passionate about program development, clinician mentorship, and expanding occupational therapy’s role in addressing emerging community health needs.
