NEW -- Social Media Student Ambassador Program
The Ohio Occupational Therapy Association (OOTA) Student Ambassador Program is designed to connect occupational therapy (OT) and occupational therapy assistant (OTA) students across Ohio with OOTA’s mission of advocacy, education, leadership, and professional engagement.

Student Research
Occupational therapy practice is driven by evidence, and students are a prominent force in this endeavor.
Currently, OOTA is building out online resources to provide OT students across Ohio with a dedicated space for sharing ongoing research projects, surveys, or capstone experiences while connecting with fellow OT researchers statewide.

Put your OT knowledge to the test and compete with fellow students in the Student Knowledge Bowl! It’s a friendly competition that’s both educational and entertaining.
Networking Reception
Saturday, October 17 | 5:30 – 6:00 PM
Stick around after the Knowledge Bowl to mingle, share stories, and make connections that could support your career journey. Meet other students, practicing OTs, and OTA professionals in a relaxed, welcoming environment.

Student Conclave – January 13–14, 2027
Our annual Student Conclave is designed to equip OT and OTA students with the tools, knowledge, and connections needed to transition successfully into professional practice. Past Conclaves have featured expert speakers, new graduate panels, and interactive breakout sessions covering career preparation, advocacy, ethics, and financial literacy.
We’re planning the event for 2027 – and we need YOUR input!

Meet the Student Involvement Committee Chair
The Student Involvement Committee is led by Katarina “Kati” Garibian, OTD, OTR/L. Kati was previously a pediatric occupational therapist at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and has returned to school to pursue her PhD in Health and Rehabilitation Sciences at The Ohio State University.
Serving as OOTA Student Committee Chair since 2025, Kati is passionate about supporting the next generation of OT practitioners.
