Meets the ethics, jurisprudence, and cultural competency requirement for Ohio licensure renewal.
OTPs will learn the definition of advocacy, how advocacy relates to ethical practice, and practical ways to advocate for the person, group, and population.
Objectives:
- Participants will be able to define advocacy.
- Participants will identify two ways in which they can advocate in practice.
- Participants will understand how advocacy is an ethical responsibility aligning with the OT Code of Ethics.
- Participants will demonstrate the ability to identify their state government representative.
