Presenter bio:

Jocelyn’s area of specialty is physical and emotional pain using my training in occupational therapy, neuromuscular re-education, manual lymphatic drainage, and myofascial release. I love being an OT because there is such a broad spectrum of areas to treat within our scope of practice that it allows me to treat the entire person from head to toe and inside and out. I treat the physical body, but also the cognitive, emotional, and spiritual wellness to provide an incredibly holistic approach to healing. The possibilities to help people heal are endless using our training in occupational therapy.

Before starting my own practice, I worked in the traditional OT field for 10 years in LTC, assisted living and Independent living, in-patient rehab, home health, acute care, and as a traveling OT. In 2010, I opened Sunshine Therapeutics to help people manage their pain through my training in myofascial release.

I really do love to work, but when I’m not working my favorite places to be are with my husband and two daughters, at church or serving in my community, or on the back of my horse. You can also find me playing my clarinet or captivated by an amazing book. I’ve learned that a healthy balance between work and rest is essential to keep going in this busy world.
