Description
1 Contact Hours – This elective emphasizes 2SLGBTQIA+ affirmative, strengths-based occupational therapy that validates and celebrates clients’ sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression. Participants will learn to integrate client-identified priorities into treatment planning and address the impact of heteronormativity, stigma, and discrimination. The course focuses on developing interventions and advocacy strategies that promote safety, inclusion, empowerment, and equitable access within healthcare and community settings.
