Description
1.0 Contact Hour – This clinical education event will provide information to affect the delivery of occupational therapy for individuals with hand and wrist injuries/pathologies. Topics that will be covered during the clinical education event include: Clinical assessment of the hand and wrist; Manual palpation for anatomic structures and special testing; Patient rated outcome measures; Manual interventions including techniques for edema control, soft tissue mobilization, and scar maturation techniques; and Discussion of issues pertinent to the delivery of occupational therapy for hand and upper extremity interventions.
